OWG group reunited in a ceremony at
the Madison Square Garden. During
the PSAL boys and girls basketball finals at the Madison Square
Garden, in March 21, the basketball group who traveled to Brazil
in April of 2008 to compete at the ONE WORLD GAMES – Brazil,
was reunited and brought out to the center court during the
half time of the boys final. This homage was after the success
of the trip where the kids had a chance to compete and enjoy
the Brazilian culture.
“Our trip to Brazil was a memory filled adventure that
we will never forget. The 30 of us who traveled have been changed
forever. 4 athletes who went on the trip led their teams to
a city championship this year. I believe our Brazilian experience
gave them the confidence to do anything they want in life”,
said Danny Harris Sports Coordinator - PSAL.
